WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?
Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. It is a non-surgical advanced microneedling treatment that penetrates the skin to transform your skin texture and restore more youthful-looking skin. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. With radiofrequency, this treatment tightens and smooths wrinkles on the face and body.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT LIKE?
The Morpheus8 treatment is a non-surgical procedure and the area that will be treated is typically numbed with a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure. After numbing the area, a small handheld device is used to ‘stamp’ the areas of concern with radiofrequency and microneedling.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
The Morpheus8 Treatment has minimal swelling, redness, and pain. Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks, the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment. Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see mild swelling a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.
HOW MANY MORPHEUS8 TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Patients are recommended to get 1-3 sessions of Morpheus8 for optimal results. The best results are achieved after 3 sessions of Morpheus8. Each treatment should be 4-6 weeks apart.
HOW IS MORPHEUS 8 DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS?
The key benefits of a Morpheus8 treatment in comparison to another microneedling treatment is its deep and safe fractional treatment penetrating 4000 microns, with an additional thermal profile of 1000+ microns. The addition of radiofrequency energy provides an additional mechanism to stimulate the skin to de-age, other than microneedling alone. There is little to no thermal damage to the dermis. It is also very safe on all skin types and there is little risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is common with other resurfacing methods.
